SCMBDC is a non-profit, locally-funded organization. The center is a satellite program of the Michigan Small Business and Technology Development Center, with regional offices located at Delta College. The MI-SBTDC is a partner program of the U.S. Small Business Administration.

Our Mission
To impact the economic development of Saginaw County by providing business counseling, specialized assistance with business plan development, business information resources, training, and educational products.

Our Services
Our services are available to any ethnic minority person who is a resident of Saginaw County, Michigan, a member of the Mid-Michigan Hispanic Business Association, or the Saginaw African-American Business Association.

Services Include:

Monthly entrepreneur orientation seminars at the Hoyt Public Library
Start-up business counseling
Business plan preparation
Help untangling the maze of business law
Marketing
Financial options
Business referrals to local and state agencies

In addition to our normal services, SCMBDC offers these services to members of SAAMBA and MMHBA:

A 1:2 Advertising Assistance Grant for new or expanding businesses. The maximum grant amount is $500
A 50% tuition refund for computer classes taken at Education Training Connections

These services are all designed to enhance the success of such business thereby stimulating job growth and expanding business activity.
